If we take a look at some countries like Saudi Arabia and Iran we would see that while some people may think that what is written in sharia law is morally wrong, it would still be an improvement over the current state of affairs. The idea that if we get rid of all religion and remove all laws based on religious values, we will get a world without any moral values is just wishful thinking. The idea that there can be a better world than one where people choose to follow God and live by His moral laws is just not realistic.
